When you book a stay at Jan Luyken, you’ll find that everything you need for a comfortable stay is included, at no additional cost. Your reservation includes breakfast, access to every part of our townhouse, as well as self-serve snacks, tea, coffee and cocktails. We invite you to enjoy our gym, library, and garden as you like, just as you would in the comfort of your own home.

Absolutely! We’re a dog-friendly hotel, and we understand that they’re a part of your family and want a city stay too. We’d appreciate it if you could look after your dog and be mindful of other guests in the hotel.

We do have a few guidelines for dogs, including the number and size of dogs allowed, so let us know if you’re bringing your furry friend so that we can ensure everything is arranged for their stay.

Of course, we want every member of your family to have an enjoyable stay with us. Our hosts are always available to recommend family-friendly attractions and events in the area.

If you’re looking to book six rooms or more, as a group, please contact our reservations team for a personalised offer that is built with you in mind.

Access to your room will be through a digital key on your phone. If your phone battery dies or, for any other reason you can’t use the digital key, your host can provide you with a physical key for the room.
Our townhouse is exclusively available for all our guests, so, unfortunately, friends who aren’t staying with us cannot use our spaces.
Our standard check-in time is 15:00, and our standard checkout time is noon.

If you arrive before check-in, we’ll do everything we can to get your room ready as quickly as possible, and you can always store your bags in our luggage room. If you’d like a later checkout, please let your host know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We’ve got a luggage room where you can store your suitcases for free, so you can enjoy your time in the city without hassle.
As our guest, you can access our gym whenever you prefer to work out or stretch, and you don’t have to make a booking. If you have any questions or need assistance, our hosts will be happy to help.
We offer a daily breakfast made from fresh, healthy and local products that you can enjoy in the townhouse or grab and go. We also provide afternoon refreshments and sweet treats as a pick-me-up during your stay.
Our welcoming breakfast is sourced from local and organic producers and served fresh every morning. Grab a plate and help yourself to a range of breads, pastries, spreads, muesli, granola, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, tea and juice at our breakfast nook.

Every floor in our townhouse can be reached by a lift. Please, get in touch before booking to discuss how we can best accommodate any specific needs and ensure that your stay at Jan Luyken is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

We do not have our own parking garage. However, as a guest at Jan Luyken, you can enjoy a special rate of €42.50 per day at Q-Park Museumplein (Museum Square), only six minutes from our townhouse. You can make your reservation here.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in our townhouse. If you smoke in your room, we will charge a fee of €250. Tampering with the smoke alarm in the room will incur a €500 penalty, and an immediate check out.

Simply connect to our wifi, accept the conditions, and enjoy wifi for the duration of your stay.

As a guest of Jan Luyken, you can use our bicycles free of charge. Just ask our host for the keys and route recommendations that suit your plans.

If you would like to arrive from or depart to Schiphol Airport by taxi, regular taxi fares start from 40 euros for one to four persons in a car and from 45 euros for vans accommodating five to eight persons.
